CWCCA National Specialty

Photo Contest


The CWCCA photo contest is open to all amateur photographers.

 

All photographs entered must include a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Entries must be 8 X 10 photos matted in black to 11X14 with the following information on the back of photo: Category, Name, Address and E-mail of Photographer. Also please note whether exposure was automatic or manual.

There will be five categories:

  • Portrait
  • Puppy
  • Action
  • Comedy
  • Cardis in Nature, enter that photo showing a Cardigan out and about in Nature.

Entry fee $10.00 per photograph.

 

CONTEST ENTRY DEADLINE: Wednesday, March 28 2018

First, Second, Third, and Fourth awarded in each category. Attendees of the National Specialty will be able to cast a vote for the winner of the Karen Johnson Best In Show Award. Winner’s name will be announced at the Annual Banquet.

All Contest Entries may be picked up at the Annual Banquet, except First Place and BIS winners. First Place and BIS winners will be retained for publication in The Bulletin. If you will not be in attendance, you must include a self-addressed postage-paid package for the return of your photos. Unclaimed photos will become the property of the CWCCA and may be used in its publications.

Travel Advisory


A CWCCA member has reported that an attendee planning to fly to our Nationals via Alaska Airlines, whose website states not flying pets Apr 24-26, required a change of plans The report indicated that no pre-flight advisement will be forthcoming from the airline for others with similar reservations.

Due to privacy concerns, we cannot verify specific information but we strongly urge you to verify your flight arrangements in advance to avoid a travel day upset. We greatly appreciate the heads up.

Thanks to everyone who made the Bonfire Shirt Campaign a huge success. Between the original, the relaunch, and the second campaign we sold 465 shirts with a donation of $4531 to the CWCCA.
